What this site collects, why it collects it, how long it is kept and what you can ask us to do about it.
Danube Exim Services operates this website at danubexim.com and decides why and how the personal data described below is processed. Questions about this notice, or about a request to exercise your rights, go to office@danubexim.com.
The enquiry form asks for your name, company, email address, the role you are writing in, and a description of the cargo, route and requirement. Everything you type is sent to our office mailbox and kept in the enquiry file for that request. We use it to answer you and, if the enquiry becomes a booking, to run the shipment.
The legal basis is the step taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. The consent box on the form records that you asked us to reply.
Our hosting provider records the usual web server log: the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and the browser string. Logs exist to keep the site available and to investigate abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure service. They are rotated by the provider and are not used to build a profile of you.
The site counts visits with WP Statistics, which runs on this server. No data leaves this host, no advertising network is involved, and no cross-site identifier is set. IP addresses are anonymised before they are stored, so the record is a count of visits to a page rather than a record of a person. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read.
The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Two functional items may be written:
Because none of this is used for advertising or profiling, no consent banner is shown. Blocking these cookies in your browser will not stop you reading the site; it will only stop the language choice being remembered.
The typefaces used on this site are served from this domain, not from a font network, so opening a page does not disclose your address to a third party. The site embeds no video players, social widgets, chat tools or advertising scripts.
We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to advertisers. Where a shipment requires a transfer outside the European Economic Area, for example to a customs authority or an agent in a port of discharge, the transfer is limited to what the movement makes necessary.
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where no legal retention duty applies, ask us to restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting what was done before.
Write to office@danubexim.com. We answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
The site is served over TLS, administrative access is restricted to named accounts, and the mailbox that receives enquiries is protected by the same controls as the rest of our correspondence.
If this notice changes, the revised version is published on this page. Material changes affecting people who have already written to us are notified by email.
